Years ago,I found a booklet titled,"Learn to Crochet in Just One Day" by Jean Leinhauser.It sounded too good to be true.I had alot of leftover yarn from my plastic canvas days and thought this would be a good way to use it.I did learn the basics of crochet in one day and was able to finish 2 afghans for Christmas gifts that year. Since then,I have completed many more afghans and numerous other projects in both yarn and thread. |

The Yarn Addiction |

In the sleeper of our truck,I have many shelves and plastic storage boxes of yarn.Some of it is leftover from other projects. Every time I go into Walmart or a craft store,I look for sales.I even buy yarn from thrift stores and yard sales.I admit it,I'M ADDICTED TO YARN!I keep telling myself,"I'm not buying anymore yarn until I use what I already have",but then I'll find some at a really good price and I can't resist. |

I love yarn.All the colors,textures and weights allows you to make any thing from a delicate thread doily to a thick,warm afghan.I have gotten some really nice yarn at Goodwill and other thrift stores.It may only be 1 skein,but it's enough to make a bookmark,scrunchie, coaster or a tiny teddy bear.I almost always modify patterns and have even come up with a few of my own.When I post a modified pattern,I will give credit where credit is due. |
